Jenny Harcastle makes her first steps in the fashion community at the age of 16, working as a helper in a tailor-made wedding gowns house. After studying art and fashion design in high school, she receives the "fashion design with technology" degree at the Manchester Metropolitain University. Jenny works then for different fashion company, notably for "Burn N Violet" during three years. This experience allows her to start to create collections and reinforce her will to work the draping technique.
In 2007, the young designer decides to create her own brand. Jenny Hardcastle has recently won the "new designer" prize of the PIN contest which was set in the West Midlands in the United Kingdom.
More than a designer and a dressmaker, Jenny Hardcastle likes to consider herself as a sculptor of fabric. Jenny Hardcastle is a collection of cocktail and evening gowns draped in upscale cotton jersey. It's after having practiced the art of draping and three-dimensional cutting for 8 years that Jenny decides to develop her own brand.
Each piece is designed thanks to a cast prepared directly on the model. This craft method, less and less used, allows to make unique pieces which cannot be mass-produced.

Intend to dynamic and elegant women, "Jenny Hardcastle" offers a collection of jersey created to mould to the body like a second skin, is very pleasant to wear, with fluid curves, soft volumes and romantic allure, so as to reveal femininity.
The gowns, with black, grey and gold shades as well as a hint of fuschia, evoke Antic Greece and 1930's elegance, which combine for timeless silhouettes.
She willl open her show-room in September 2008.
The jury also wished to encourage two other designers finalist of the contest : Jonytoy, a silk-screen painted clothes and accessories brand, and Le Labo de Lisa, a line of clothes for children. These two brands win a year round joining the Village des Créateurs.
