Over the years, TALENTS DE MODE has become a major fashion competition, with increasing influence due to the quality of its entrants and the funding it offers.
The competition was created in 2007 by the VILLAGE DES CRÉATEURS (VDC), an economic development network for fashion, decor and design businesses based in the Auvergne Rhône Alpes region. It aims to identify upcoming talents in contemporary fashion design and promote them by offering concrete ways to succeed in the long term, both in France and abroad. TALENTS DE MODE offers a high level of entrepreneurial support, PR and communications assistance, a range of partnerships and a network of key players within the sector. It represents an excellent opportunity for any fashion designer with a business plan (or a business under 3 years old) to develop their company and brand under the very best conditions
TALENTS DE MODE is a springboard for developing brands. This competition puts the emphasis on design, product innovation and genuine entrepreneurialism. Initially created to support new fashion businesses winning its 1st prize to set up in Lyon, TALENTS DE MODE has gained increasing recognition and is now open to the world. It now commands a strong position both nationally and internationally.
The TALENTS DE MODE competition is open to any French or English-speaking individual, regardless of their nationality or professional situation. Entrants must be aged 18 or over as at 1st January 2017 and must present a business plan based around fashion, textiles or any other sector related to this type of business.
The plan may also be submitted by a team. Any company operating for under three years that was set up after 1st January 2014 may also enter, as well as people with self-employed status (sole traders).
